Healthy & Active Youth Program

Helping Every Arkansan BHealthy

Baptist Health’s BHealthy programs like Healthy and Active Youth Program (HAYP) encourage a healthy lifestyle through better food choices and physical activity. These programs have the power to help lower the state’s high rate of chronic illnesses. With help from our donors, they are able to succeed in that mission.

The Healthy & Active Youth Program

Baptist Health Healthy and Active Youth Program (HAYP) is a free program for youth, ages 11 to 17, and their families. The curriculum is centered on addressing many of the common health challenges parents face while raising their children, and each session features fun, interactive nutrition and exercise classes that can be used for the whole family. The program includes nutrition assessments, lab work, fitness testing, cooking classes, field trips, fitness challenges and more. Participants receive t-shirts, fitness trackers, and prizes – all at no cost to families!

HAYP has multiple sessions year-round. Know someone who may be interested in participating?

The Healthy and Active Youth program sets up young Arkansans to lead healthy lives as adults. Through the generous gifts of our donors, we’re able to cover the cost of this program without charging participants.
