Baptist Health College Little Rock
Future planned improvements for Baptist Health College Little Rock:
Baptist Health College Little Rock (BHCLR) has a strong history of preparing the next generation of nurses and healthcare professionals to provide the best care to Arkansans.
An accredited and an established leader in healthcare education, BHCLR offers one-year certificate programs, two-year associate degrees, and a number of baccalaureate degree programs in affiliation with partnering colleges and universities.
Annually, more than 300 students are trained with Christian compassion in a loving environment. Students complete the highest number of clinical hours in the state, and receive hands-on instruction from a pool of faculty, mentors, and advisors with Masters and Doctorate degrees.
One of the most impactful ways to support the future of healthcare and higher education in our state is to fund BHCLR scholarships. You can do this by:
- Investing in our efforts to Improve To Inspire, Expand And Empower, and Support Our Students!
- Establishing a Scholarship Endowment with a minimum gift of $25,000 to create a lasting legacy of benefiting generations of healthcare students. When you establish this type of permanent fund, the principal remains intact and invested. Scholarships are awarded from the allocated income earned on the principal investment to deserving students at BHCLR each year.
- Giving to an already established Scholarship Endowment to help support more students at Baptist Health College Little Rock. With your permission, the Foundation will notify the donor who established the scholarship of your generous gift. Click here to see a list of established endowments.
- Donating to the General Scholarship Fund to support Nursing and Allied Health students enrolled at BHCLR.
Together We Can...
Improve To Inspire
Funding will support the renovation of classrooms and enhancement of our library facilities, providing modern, well-equipped spaces conducive to learning. This includes advanced technology, access to the latest medical literature, and improved study areas, fostering collaboration and a holistic educational experience.
Expand And Empower
Expanding our simulation lab into a comprehensive center will enhance educational offerings with advanced manikins, software, and dedicated scenario spaces. This will provide realistic training and improve student preparedness for clinical situations. New online nursing and general education courses will further increase accessibility and opportunities for students.
Support Our Students
The proposed initiatives include a robust tutoring program for academic success, funding scholarships to ease financial burdens, and contributions to the Food for Thought program for food-insecure students. Additionally, a Student Emergency Fund will assist with essential expenses like housing and transportation, supporting students’ academic and professional development in nursing and allied health fields.
