Community Outreach
Every Arkansan Matters
Baptist Health is committed to improving the health and well-being of every Arkansan, including those who are homeless, uninsured, underinsured, or underresourced. Through the generosity of our donors, we’re able to provide education, health screenings, and more to those who need it most.
Serve your community by donating to any of the life-changing programs below.
Baptist Health Community Wellness Centers
In partnership with churches and community organizations, Baptist Health has established 10 Community Wellness Centers offering free services such as care coordination, immunizations, flu shots, as well as screenings for blood pressure, cholesterol, blood sugar and more.
Baptist Health Pregnancy Wellness Centers
The Pregnancy Wellness Centers in Little Rock and North Little Rock provide low-income expectant mothers exceptional prenatal care and education as well as well-baby care, immunizations, free screenings and referrals for babies up to 18 months of age. The Centers are staffed by a family nurse practitioner, registered nurses and a Spanish translator. This effort is supported in part by a grant from Bank of America.
Baptist Health Mobile Health Unit Services
The Baptist Health vision is to improve the health of Arkansans by changing the way healthcare is delivered. One way we work to deliver on that vision is through the use of our Mobile Health unit. The Baptist Health Mobile Health Unit is dedicated to providing care to those in our communities who lack access to healthcare through traditional avenues. Under the direction of the Community Outreach Department, the Mobile Health unit is often used and requested to provide preventative screenings, vaccinations, education, and referrals, as well as to highlight different Baptist Health initiatives.
The Community Outreach team consists of nurses, health educators, dietitians, and support staff who offer services and events to support healthy lifestyles that prevent disease and improve quality of life.
