Breast Health
Baptist Health’s healing ministry for breast health plays an important role in a woman’s overall wellness. Close to 1 in 8 women will develop breast cancer in her lifetime. The good news is that women whose breast cancer is detected at an early stage have a 93 percent or higher survival rate in the first five years.
Baptist Health Breast Center-Little Rock has been serving women in Arkansas for more than 20 years. We have developed a strong program of services to screen, diagnose, and treat breast disease to help women live long and healthy lives.
There are opportunities to provide support for an array of both preventative services and treatments, including:
- The nurse navigator program, which helps guide cancer patients through their difficult journey, from diagnosis to surgery, surgery to chemotherapy, chemotherapy to radiation, and ultimately to survivorship.
- Women’s services such as mammograms, Automatic Breast Ultrasounds (ABUS), and other ultrasounds
- Items to help patients “look good and feel better” such as scarves, wigs, hats
