LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Baptist Health Foundation is honored to have Heath Harper and Marvin Childers co-chair the 2026 Bolo Bash Golf Tournament presented by Simmons Bank. This year’s event will benefit Baptist Health Behavioral Health Services.
Harper serves as executive director, financial advisor and portfolio management director at Morgan Stanley. Childers recently retired as the longtime president of The Poultry Federation and now serves as counsel to the Friday Firm. The co-chairs look forward to the 37th Bolo Bash Golf Tournament and raising funds to help those who seek and need behavioral health services from Baptist Health.
“I am honored to co-chair this year’s Bolo Bash Golf Tournament alongside Marvin, especially as we rally the community to support our beneficiary,” said Harper. “Mental health is a critical component of overall well-being, yet so many individuals, especially in our rural communities, face immense barriers to getting the care they need. Through the generosity of our sponsors and golfers, we have a unique opportunity to expand access to care in our state.”
As the largest charity golf event in Arkansas, the tournament’s proceeds can assist with essential therapy and medication for uninsured patients and will support the expansion of telehealth capabilities in rural areas. Additionally, these resources will be dedicated to suicide prevention education, equipment upgrades for inpatient care and provide transportation for discharged patients who lack the support needed to get home safely.
“Having seen firsthand how Arkansans come together to support one another, I am proud to partner with Heath to co-chair this year’s tournament,” said Childers. “The funds raised on the course will directly impact lives by improving behavioral health care services in our state. This tournament has an extensive history of making a tangible difference and we look forward to another record-breaking year at Chenal Country Club.”
The tournament will be held Sept. 14 and 15 at Chenal Country Club. The scramble format tournament hosts over 500 golfers each year. Sponsorship opportunities are available.
